Spring Warm Up 2026 – The Wet Edition

Spring Warm Up isn’t a race—it’s a fun run built around time on trail, good company, and a low-pressure start to the season. This year, the weather made things interesting. We had steady rain through most of the morning, and the group was smaller as a result. The runners who did come out were committed, tough, and in great spirits from start to finish.

We also had a few great partners on site that helped make the morning feel like an event, even in the downpour. Believer Coffee also came out early to make sure everyone was properly caffeinated before heading out, which was very appreciated on a wet morning. Dustin from Rossignol came out with demo shoes, and a lot of runners at least tried them on—some took them out for a full lap and were excited about how they felt on trail. We’re looking forward to having Rossignol back again at Great Mansfield, where more runners will have the chance to test them out. After the run, we shared Maple Grove pizza and everyone headed home with a post-run beverage from Creemore Springs Brewery—an ideal finish-line treat.

Despite the rain, the trails held up beautifully. Conditions stayed surprisingly solid—no major mud, no standing water, and no messy sections that slowed things down. It made for a really enjoyable run, and a reminder that spring training doesn’t have to wait for perfect forecasts.

For anyone who couldn’t make it (or wants to relive it), Spooky Light Productions put together a fun reel so you can catch some of the action. Check out their photography down below alongside this recap.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and helped make the day what it was—steady, supportive, and quietly tough. Spring Warm Up also supports OUTRace as the event beneficiary, and we’re proud to contribute to the work they do for trail running in Ontario.
